Katherine Halliday, sometimes credited as Kathy Halliday, portrays Maria in the 1993 film The Heartbreak Kid, and Rose Malouf in 48 episodes of Heartbreak High.
Halliday was 19 years old when filming on the show began, 2 years older than her character. She was initially discovered by producers of The Heartbreak Kid while they were scouting local Melbourne schools for talent.
She left Heartbreak High in 1995 to move back to Melbourne.
She has acted sporadically over the years, most notably in the prison drama Wentworth (2015).
